  How does this work:

• Students join the classes at Cultural Centre of India
  

• Students register at Alagappa Performing Arts and pay the appropriate fees
  

• Text books and appropriate DVDs are mailed to the student
  

• Students will be taught the syllabus, both theory and dances at Cultural Centre of India
  

• Students take the theory exams and video tape their performance of the specified dances
  

• Exams papers and videos of practicals will be sent to Alagappa Performing Arts for evaluation
  

• Students will receive appropriate degrees from Alagappa University Dance Department

1 year program provides historical overview of the art and basic knowledge in footsteps, gestures and introduction to basic dances.

Fast Track: Students who have completed Arangetram (Dance Graduation Recital) can finish the courses at a faster pace. Arangetrams must have been completed within the last 10 years and video of the Arangetram should be submitted

• For BA degree, minimum age requirement is 16 years old
